Dr. Fritjof Börner

Dr. Fritjof Börner is Of Counsel at Andersen Germany. He specializes in advising companies in the areas of data protection law, Internet law, IT law, media law and telecommunications law. In addition, he acts as an external data protection officer for companies.

Dr. Fritjof Börner studied law and business administration at the University of Göttingen. After his first state examination in law, he earned his doctorate at the University of Göttingen, where he worked as a research assistant. After his second state examination in law, Dr. Börner was a lawyer in Kassel and then an in-house lawyer for Bertelsmann AG in Gütersloh. Before joining Andersen, Dr. Börner was a partner at Arthur Andersen and then at Ernst & Young. In addition, he was a recognized expert for data protection at the independent State Center for Data Protection Schleswig-Holstein and held a teaching position for data protection law at the University of Göttingen from 2005 to 2017.

He co-published a number of books and articles (e.g. E-Commerce Law in Europe and the USA, Der Internet Rechtsberater, Fernabsatzrecht, Leitfaden IT-Recht) and gives speeches on the subject of data protection and IT law.
